SustainabilityThe Euromast is holder of the Green Key quality hallmark. In 2016, the GOLDEN GREEN KEY was awarded to the Euromast, the highest level you can achieve in the daytrip recreation category.
The importance of sustainability for the Euromast
For over half a century now, you can eat and drink, sleep and awake, party, do business and discover and experience at a height of 100 metres, with the added bonus of a splendid panoramic view of Rotterdam. We want you and your grandchildren to still enjoy this in fifty years' time. Hence Euromast has a sustainable policy aimed at unburdening man, the environment and the planet.
This sustainable policy is reflected in the measures that the Euromast has taken. For example, we only use green energy supplied by Greenchoice, operate waterless toilets in the Gent's rooms, Biolab research & solutions manages the water quality of the Euromast and each season an adjusted menu is offered with sustainable meals.
In addition, the Euromast shows its local involvement through cooperation with a number of social projects in the form of training options for young people and its contribution to a number of charities, large and small. We encourage and support staff to develop a sustainable vision, so that they too actively think about their approach towards energy and waste processes.
As a guest, you will hardly notice any of this in actual practice. The quality of the experience is not any different and therefore you can plan a visit to the Euromast, free of any concern.
Tip: travel to the Euromast by public transport. We are easy to reach by tram and by bus. Walking is of course also a positive option, for example take a route through Het Park. If you want to find out more about the Euromast and Rotterdam, please download the Rotterdam App on your phone, which includes a map, public transport planner, hiking tours and GPS location finder. You can find the app
on the website of Rotterdam Info.
In the hotel, catering and recreation sector you can obtain a Green Key hallmark, provided you meet a number of strict sustainability conditions. In 2011, the Euromast obtained its first Green Key qualification. In 2016, the Euromast was accredited the Green Key Gold status. You can read more about Green Key here.
